Today Kery had her mask made for her radiation treatments. It was a little scary because of the unknown and the claustrophobia but the staff at Tom Baker made the experience the best that they could. They took the time to explain the process in detail, answer every question and to make sure Kery was as comfortable as she could be. She was impressed that Teddy the Tumour bear was allowed to be a part of the process and she listened to Mary Poppins on her I-Pod. The mask making and mapping process took all morning but puts her one step closer to beginning radiation, probably in about 2 weeks. Physio consisted of taking a walk outside for the first time, she did really well. She also rode up and down the elevator without the wheelchair and climbed more stairs. Another busy but successful day!
